When Numb Is Not Enough

Dr Tamitra Clark is one of the core clinical staff members in the IOP program at Las Encinas. She multiple leads groups and helps in the development of IOP programming, shaping the pathway for patients as they reintegrate back into the community. Her book on grief and loss, “When Numb Is Not Enough”, integrates her personal experience and resilience in the healing process.

Dr. Tamitra M. Clark is a devoted advocate, trainer, facilitator, and healer who brings heart, clinical expertise, and lived experience ot every space she serves. With a Psy.D. ni Multicultural Clinical Community Psychology and a B.A. in Psychology, she has spent over two decades guiding individuals, families, and organizations through transformation, grief, and personal growth.

Her journey is both professional and personal. After enduring the profound losses of her father and brother, Tamitra committed herself to helping others move through pain with intention, clarity, and strength. She believes in the power of language to heal, the necessity of mindset shifts, and the importance of honoring your own story—flaws, fears, and all.

As a single mother and legacy-bearer of a family rooted ni education and service, Tamitra leads with empathy and conviction. She offers tools that don't just support survival, but empower thriving.


Timothy Pylko, M.D & the Film “Of Two Minds”

Dr. Pylko earned his undergraduate degree in neurophysiology at McGill University in Montreal and then received his medical degree at the University of Toronto. He completed both his psychiatry internship and residency at the UCLA San Fernando Valley Program. He is board certified in psychiatry. Dr. Pylko is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association.

He is an active member of Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California where he also has a position as a service director of one it's units. Dr Pylko has been a principal investigator or co-investigator in several clinical trials. He has been a presenter at national medical conferences including the American Psychiatric Association Institute on Psychiatric Services. Dr Pylko's primary specialty is working with complex mood disorders and their comorbidities. He collaborated with prominent film makers on the documentary "Of Two Minds" exploring the lives of those dealing with Bipolar Disorder that recently won a "Voice Award" from SAMHSA. He is currently working on a film project about suicide.
